When locating a site or building, it will soon become evident that with ElectriCities, you're connecting to powerful local resources. ElectriCities and its 100 Public Power communities offer a single point of contact for all of your utility needs, as well as zoning, permitting and site planning requirements. Most of our communities offer a low cost utility package that includes reliable electric service along with adequate water and wastewater treatment. A few of our larger communities also provide natural gas service. Whatever needs doing, you'll find a commitment from ElectriCities as your single point-of-contact to get the job done.

ElectriCities communities also offer economic development incentive rates that will lower the cost of electric service during the first four and one half years of operation. This rate is available to qualifying new or expanding industry that receive electric service from our Municipal Public Power System communities.

ElectriCities and its 100 Public Power communities will not require your company or client to sign a confidentiality agreement to begin discussions on customized electric rates or to provide electric service cost estimates. Approval of any customized rates and signing of electric service agreements can be completed within 60 days locally and do not require a public hearing by the North Carolina Utilities Commission. The contract terms for electric service are usually for six years.

All of the assistance from ElectriCities is confidential and free and provided by an experienced, professional staff.
